Ovenstone returns to New Bayview

East Fife have brought John Ovenstone back to New Bayview after the defender left Division Two rivals Stenhousemuir.

The Kirkcaldy-born 26-year-old began his senior career with the Fifers, ending his four years there by joining Alloa Athletic in 2004.

He had three years at Recreation Park before a season with Forfar Athletic.

Ovenstone joined Stenhousemuir last summer, playing 35 times as they won promotion via the play-offs and will face his former club next season.
