East Fife have appointed Stevie Crawford as manager of the Second Division outfit.

Crawford was placed in temporary charge when Dave Baikie resigned earlier this month after three years at Bayview.

The former Dunfermline Athletic striker joined East Fife last summer after being released by the Pars.

Crawford, capped 25 times for Scotland, began his career with Raith Rovers and also played for Hibernian, Dundee United and Aberdeen.

The new East Fife manager has yet to record a win, with defeats by Alloa and Ayr United since he took over from Baikie. Scott Crabbe has been named as Crawford's assistant.

East Fife are currently sixth in the table, 14 points outside the play-off places.
