McIntyre believes his players are good enough to play in the SPL
Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre heaped praise on his players after they knocked SPL side St Mirren out of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
The First Division side scored two goals in three minutes at East End Park to progress to the quarter-finals.
"I'm very happy. It was a fantastic win for us, I thought the boys played really well," said McIntyre.
"I said to the players before the game we have Premier League players, and so they should go out and show that."
The victory for the Pars was the only upset on Tuesday night, with Celtic, Inverness, Falkirk and Dundee United all coming through against lower-league opposition.
Dunfermline currently sit fourth in the First Division, to which they were relegated two seasons ago.
