Dunfermline have signed striker Tam McManus on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
McManus had been offered the chance to play in Finland
The ex-Hibs and Dundee forward, who turns 26 on Wednesday, impressed during a trial period with the Pars.
McManus had been given the chance to join former Easter Road team-mate Mixu Paatelainen in Finland.
Paatelainen, manager at TPS Turku, was offering a two-year deal but McManus has opted to try and help Dunfermline avoid relegation.
McManus was released by Dundee in the summer and also enjoyed a brief spell at Falkirk.
He recently failed to win a move back to Hibs but has had better luck in Fife.
Former Rangers and Southampton player Fabrice Fernandes was with McManus on trial at East End Park but no decision has been reached regarding the Frenchman.
