Dundee United reject another Boro bid for Craig Conway

Dundee United have again rejected a bid for 25-year-old winger Craig Conway from Championship side Middlesbrough.

The club, managed by Gordon Strachan, emailed United with the same offer as last week, around £600,000, not enough to tempt chairman Stephen Thompson.

Meanwhile, United are believed to be keen to sign former Hearts and Aberdeen midfielder Scott Severin from Watford.

However, Francisco Sandaza and Jennison Myrie-Williams could leave on Tuesday as the club looks to cut the wage bill.

Sandaza had been at Swansea on trial and, while that move came to nothing, it is understood that another English club are keen on the Spanish striker.

It is understood that United would like a fee of closer to £1m for Conway, whom they signed from Ayr in June 2006.

United and the Teesside club have been in contact for about a month about the player who won a Scotland cap in 2009 and was a key player in the success of Peter Houston's team last season.
