Dundee United have signed defender Lee Wilkie on a two-year deal.
Wilkie has been in fine form for the Tannadice club this season
The new contract, which ties him at Tannadice until 2009, will be officially announced at a media conference on Wednesday.
Wilkie - capped 11 times for Scotland - moved to United on a short-term deal from neighbours Dundee last October.
His current contract was due to expire in the summer, but with Wilkie's recent form attracting interest, United moved quickly to extend his deal.
Wilikie has suffered two serious knee ligament injuries but has battled back to claim a regular place in United's first-team.
He is playing without a cruciate ligament in his damaged knee after an operation in the United States to implant a new cruciate failed.
