Dundee United defender Lee Wilkie is joining Ross County on a month's loan.
Wilkie has played just one game for United
The 26-year-old Scotland international has played just one match for United since making the switch from neighbours Dundee in the summer.
And Tannadice manager Craig Levein wants the centre-half to build up his match fitness at Victoria Park.
"Lee is a fantastic addition to our squad. He is a 6ft 5in defender who has played for Scotland 11 times," County boss Scott Leitch told the P&J.
Wilkie is expected to make his debut against First Division leaders Gretna on Saturday.
And he will be able to play in league games against Airdrie United, Queen of the South, St Johnstone and Hamilton but will not feature in the Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle on 6 January.
"Who is to say this move cannot develop into something more? We could try to do something with him at the end of the season," added Leitch.
