Brewster upbeat despite home draw

Brewster has had a frustrating start to his Dundee United managerial career

Craig Brewster is confident that Dundee United will gain a scoring touch after a frustrating scoreless draw against Dunfermline Athletic at Tannadice.

Although the Tangerines have yet to win in the SPL this season, the player-boss said: "I thought it was a decent performance from the team today.

"Despite not scoring, it was another clean sheet and we defended well.

"All we needed was a goal and a little bit of magic from Steven Robb at the end almost won it for us."

United failed to break down the resilient Pars but Brewster remains upbeat.

"On the whole I have to be reasonably happy though," he added.

"Our performances will get results and although we only got a point today, perhaps another time we will win all three."
