Former Hearts, Rangers and Scotland defender Paul Ritchie has left Dundee United by mutual consent, according to the Scottish Premier League club.
Ritchie is on the look-out for a new club
Ritchie, who turned 31 on Monday, negotiated a termination of his contract after being told he was not in manager Craig Brewster's plans.
The defender, who arrived in 2004 after leaving Walsall, has been training with Cypriot club Amonia Nicosia.
Ritchie had spells with Rangers and Manchester City after leaving Hearts.
He also had spells on loan to Bolton Wanderers, Portsmouth and Derby County.
Ritchie, who has nine Scotland caps, made 50 appearances in two seasons with United and had a year left of his contract.
But Brewster targeted five of his veteran high earners and Ritchie is last of the group to officially leave the club.
Striker Jim McIntyre joined Dunfermline Athletic, Derek McInnes moved to Millwall, Grant Brebner headed for Melbourne Victory and David Fernandez last week signed for Kilmarnock.
