Dundee United defender Stuart Abbot is feared to have suffered serious injury during his second start for the club.

The 19-year-old was substituted during the 1-0 defeat by Dunfermline Athletic.

And manager Craig Brewster said: "Stuart could have fractured one of the metatarsal bones in his foot, but we will have to wait and see."

Craig Samson is the latest to suffer from the Tannadice clearout, Brewster revealing that the goalkeeper will not be offered a new contract.
