Dundee United hope to sign Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor and release Paul Ritchie and David Fernandez from their Tannadice contracts.
Allan McGregor was at Dunfermline last season
McGregor is believed to be keen to move from Ibrox and United have confirmed that they are in negotiations with Rangers about a transfer.
United are hopeful of concluding severance packages with Ritchie and Fernandez by Monday.
Striker Fernandez has agreed to join SPL rivals Kilmarnock.
He and defender Ritchie had been told to find new clubs because they do not feature in United manager Craig Brewster's plans.
Ritchie is currently in Cyprus, where he has been training with Amonia Nicosia, and seems set to sign a one-year contract once he has tied up loose ends at Tannadice.
McGregor, a product of the Rangers youth system, spent last season on loan to Dunfermline Athletic.
