Tannadice duo extend stay
Alan Archibald in action
Alan Archibald has done well in his first season at United
Alan Archibald and Graeme Holmes have signed new deals with Dundee United, while the club are confident Jim McIntyre will also agree new terms.

"I'm delighted that we've agreed a new three-year contract with Alan and have also agreed a two-year deal with Greame," said manager Ian McCall.

McCall also added the club are "very close" to agreeing a two-year deal with striker McIntyre.

United also hope to agree new deals with Paul Gallagher and Charlie Miller.

"Alan has deserved his contract because he has been excellent since joining in the summer, so we're thrilled to have him on board for the foreseeable future.

"In Graeme's case, he's a young player we feel can make an impact on the team if he keeps progressing, so we're pleased to have him tied up too.

"As for the other out-of-contract players, there is nothing concrete at the moment but we're still talking and the door remains open."

Like Miller and Gallagher, Craig Easton and Jason Scotland will see their current deals expire in the summer.
