Dundee United have made an offer for Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Barry Robson.
Barry Robson has scored 13 goals for ICT this season
The former Rangers youth has enjoyed an excellent season for the Highlanders and United boss Ian McCall has been after the left-sided player for some time.
The Tannadice side are believed to have made an unsuccessful bid for Robson during January's transfer window.
"I see Barry as something different," said McCall. "And we have put in a bid for him."
Robson, 24, has scored 13 goals for Caley Thistle this term.
Meanwhile, striker Allan Smart has reached an agreement to leave United.
The former Watford and Oldham Athletic forward still has a year to run on his Tannadice contract but has negotiated an early release and will be on the look-out for a new club over the summer.
Smart, 28, failed to find the net from his two starts and 15 appearances as a substitute for United this season and managed to pick up two red cards.
"Allan has been unfortunate at Dundee United and I feel it would be in his best interests if he moves on," said McCall.
