Dundee have signed versatile 22-year-old Eddie Malone on a month-long loan from St Mirren.
Eddie Malone has not played for St Mirren this season
Malone, who can play left midfield or full-back, joined the Buddies from Clyde in January but has not made a single appearance this season.
He turned out six times last season for the Scottish Premier League outfit but was injured during pre-season.
And he told the St Mirren website: "It will be good to go and play for a month. I jumped at the chance."
Malone could make his Dundee debut against another of his former clubs, St Johnstone, in Division One on Saturday.
"When I was at St Johnstone, they used to talk a lot about the Tayside derby," he said.
"I always wanted to play in one and never got the chance there, so hopefully I will now.
"I did the IT band in my left knee in pre-season and it took longer than expected for it to heal.
"I got an injection in it and I've been in doing a mini pre-season in the gym at St Mirren.
"I've played a couple of reserve games now so hopefully I'm quite fit."
