Dundee angry with fixture clashes
Dundee Chief Executive Dave McKinnon
McKinnon made a fixtures appeal before the list was announced
Dundee chief executive Dave MacKinnon is frustrated that the fixture list has thrown up three clashes with neighbours Dundee United before Christmas.

The Dundee clubs found themselves down to play on the same day six times last season and McKinnon had sounded his concern prior to the new schedule.

MacKinnon told BBC Sport: "The club are not going to do the job of the Scottish Football League.

"It is their responsibility to sort it out. They have had ample warning."

As things stand, Dundee face Dunfermline, Clyde and Hamiton Accies at Dens Park, while United are up against St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Gretna at Tannadice on the same dates.

And MacKinnon is angry that there are three free Saturdays in the city when no matches are scheduled to be played.

"We made a last ditch effort for them to sort it in the last week and we still have three fixtures clashing," added MacKinnon. "It is just unbelievable."
