Keeper McGeown parts with Sons

McGeown lost three goals in his only appearance this season

Goalkeeper Mark McGeown has left Dumbarton, with the club saying it was "by mutual consent" after Saturday's 1-0 win over East Fife.

The 39-year-old had made only one appearance this season, a 3-3 draw with fellow Division Two strugglers Clyde.

McGeown joined the Sons in 2008 and made 15 appearances as they won the Division Three title and promotion.

He had previously played for Stirling Albion, Stranraer, Airdrie United and Ayr United.
