Dumbarton boss wins monthly award

Dumbarton manager Jim Chapman
Chapman has been in charge of Dumbarton for almost a year

Dumbarton's Jim Chapman has been named Irn Bru Phenomenal Third Division manager of the month for October.

The Sons picked up league wins against Annan Athletic and Montrose last month, as well as a Scottish Cup victory at Highland League side Fraserburgh.

Former Albion Rovers boss Chapman took charge at Dumbarton last December and has moulded a side that look sure to be in the hunt for promotion.

Dumbarton currently lie second in the table behind Stenhousemuir.
