Vale of Leven striker joins Sons

Dumbarton

Dumbarton have signed 23-year-old striker Alan Gourlay from junior outfit Vale of Leven.

The Ex-Rangers and St Mirren player has signed a one-year contract with the Third Division side.

Sons chief executive Gilbert Lawrie said: "I saw Alan play about six times last season and believe we have a potential star in the making.

"He is still young and will bring further flair and skill to the team. He is an entertainer and a local boy."
