Experienced Dumbarton defender Craig Brittain has signed a contract extension to keep him with the Third Division side next season.
However, a total of ten players have been released by manager Jim Chapman.
Chris Gentile, Chris Hamilton, Tommy Coyne, Craig Potter and Brian McPhee will all be leaving the Strathclyde Homes Stadium this summer.
And they will be joined by Anton Nugent, David Craig, Ryan Russell, Michael Stokes and David McNaught.
Chapman told the club's website: "Craig has agreed to sign and I've made offers to Mark Canning, Andy Geggan, Mick O'Byrne and David Crawford.
"I've still to speak to Fergus Tiernan and we'll have a clearer picture by the end of the week.
"It's never pleasant telling player that they won't be offered deals and last night we took time to explain to everyone our reasons.
"I think that this is only fair and everyone leaves with our best wishes."
Meanwhile, Dumbarton have offered midfielder Jason McLaughlin and striker David Mcfarlane training facilities over the summer to prove their fitness ahead of any contract talks.
