Doncaster Rovers have turned down bids from Ipswich Town for striker Billy Sharp and midfielder James Coppinger.

Ipswich had offered £2.3m for 16-goal top scorer Sharp, 25, and £300,000 for Coppinger, 30, who weighed in with seven goals and 10 assists this season.

Rovers chairman John Ryan told BBC Radio Sheffield that they were not interested in selling the pair.

Ryan added: "We had an offer from Ipswich for both players and we rejected both offers."
