Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is concerned that Alan Blayney's elbow injury is worse than first feared.
The 25-year-old keeper cut his elbow in training over a month ago.
O'Driscoll told BBC Radio Sheffield: "The problem has dragged on. If he's involved in any sort of contact work then his elbow responds.
"It just blows up and it is quite worrying and he has been booked in to see a rheumatologist to see if there is a blood problem."
