Doncaster chairman quits
Ryan is frustrated by broken promises
Ryan is frustrated by broken promises
Doncaster Rovers Chairman John Ryan has left the club.

Ryan says he feels let down by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council because of the lack of progress on a new stadium.

Trevor Milton takes over as Rovers chairman.

"I feel I wasn't given the support," Ryan told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I feel let down by certain people. You can't go on swimming against the tide.

"I was given assurances four years ago that the club would get a new stadium.

"But that has not happened and even if we won the league we would probably not be able to go up because of the state of the ground."
