Derby County have signed Charlton striker Luke Varney on an emergency loan until 1 January.
The 26-year-old will then become a permanent Rams player on a three-and-a-half year contract worth up to £1.5m.
Varney told BBC Radio Derby: "It's a massive move for me and I'm completely delighted to be honest."
Leicester-born Varney, who moved to the Valley from Crewe in 2007, has played 19 times for the Addicks this season and scored two goals.

He added: "I've always been quite attracted to Derby being from this sort of area.
"I'm delighted to be at such a big club with such a big history."
Rams defender Jay McEveley has gone the opposite way up the M1 on a loan deal with Charlton until 27 February.
