Commons played for Stoke before moving to Nottingham Forest
Derby County winger Kris Commons is relishing the chance of playing his former club Stoke City in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup.
The date for the fixture at the Britannia Stadium has now been confirmed as Tuesday, 2 December.
Commons told the club website: "It'll be nice to go back there. I'll bump into a few faces who I've missed and it would be nice to get to the next round.
"They're a Premier League side but it's a cup game and anything can happen."
Commons, who scored in last weekend's 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, added: "Stoke are the favourites but we will go there nice and confident, without any real pressure on our shoulders.
