Dean Leacock has recently been linked to moves to Burnley and Preston
Derby County manager Paul Jewell says Dean Leacock will be staying at the club despite speculation linking him with other Championship sides.
Jewell said the versatile former Fulham man was a key player, especially now Alan Stubbs has called it a day.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "I had said if something came in that was right for us and right for him we would listen to it but circumstances in football change.
"There was an inquiry from Burnley but I don't think it's the right time."
Jewell added: "Leacock can play at right-back, midfield, and centre back so he's a valued member of the squad."
