Derby County boss Paul Jewell says he has no option but to make wholesale changes to the squad in the summer.
The Rams bowed out of the Premier League with a whimper following the 4-0 home loss against Reading on Saturday.
And Jewell told BBC Radio Derby that many of the players are out of their depth: "I'm sick and tired of it. We make mistake after mistake.
"The large majority of the players - even some of the ones I've brought in - don't seem to be good enough."
Derby are officially the worst side in Premier League history, having collected just 11 points from 38 games - four fewer than Sunderland who held the previous record.
Their only victory came against Newcastle - a 1-0 home success in September.
But Jewell, who took over at Pride Park following Billy Davies' exit in November, is confident next season will be a different story.
