Robbie Savage insists there is plenty to play for this season despite Derby's relegation from the Premier League being confirmed with six games to go.

The 2-2 home draw with Fulham on Saturday means the Rams' stay in the top flight has lasted just one season.

But Savage told BBC Radio Derby: "The next six games are a chance for the players to show they want to be here.

"And next year we need a good start to get some momentum so we need a couple of wins to carry into next season."

And the midfielder is also keen to make the most of what could be his last season in the Premier League.

"It's looking like it might be my last six Premier League games so I am going to enjoy them," Savage said.

"It's the best league in the world there are millions of kids and fans who would swap places with us and we're battling for own pride to put in a show."
