Barnes may require second knee op

Derby County midfielder Giles Barnes may require a second knee operation.

The 19-year-old saw renowned specialist Dr Richard Steadman in Colorado last week for surgery on his kneecap.

Barnes, who will not be be fit until the start of next season at the earliest, will fly home to continue his rehabilitation next week.

Boss Paul Jewell said: "We are really pleased with the outcome. He will have to go back, but whether he needs a second operation we don't know yet."
