Carroll was eager to move to Pride Park from the Glasgow giants

Derby County boss Paul Jewell says he will have to turn his attentions elsewhere after failing in a bid to sign Rangers goalkeeper Roy Carroll.
The Northern Ireland international, 30, was poised to join but Jewell told BBC Radio Derby: "We had him here last Thursday and I thought it was done.
"But Rangers didn't sign a keeper in time so we couldn't sign him. We'll have to look elsewhere.
"Roy's gutted because he was desperate to come here, but it hasn't happened."
Former Manchester United and West Ham keeper Carroll has played just one game for Rangers - a CIS Insurance Cup win over East Fife in September.
