Derby's former first team coach Billy McEwan has revealed his desire for a fresh challenge led to his departure from the club last week.
McEwan had served Derby for over a decade
The former Rotherham and Sheffield United boss had spent 10 years at Derby and worked under five bosses.
McEwan told BBC Sport: "I am looking for a new challenge. The time was right for me to move on."
In 2002, McEwan had a spell in charge of the Rams after Colin Todd's exit, but soon returned to coaching duties.
