Derby County have denied the club is on the verge of being sold.
Chairman Lionel Pickering is openly trying to offload the Rams for an asking price of between £5m-£8m.
A Midlands radio station sparked fresh speculation a takeover was in the offing but the Rams insisted there was no deal imminent.
A statement released by the club read: "The ownership of Derby County has not
changed.
"Chairman Lionel Pickering has made clear his desire to relinquish his
controlling interest to an individual or consortium with the club's interests at
heart.
"But although talks have been taking place with interested parties, there is
nothing further to report at present."
