Crewe defender Richard Walker has said he had no hesitation in signing a new three-year deal with the club.
Walker enjoys working under manager Gradi
The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a new contract which will keep him at Gresty Road until 2006.
He joined the Railwaymen as a trainee four years ago and is keen to test himself in Division One this season after Crewe were promoted last term.
"I'm really looking forward to the new season and pitting my wits against the strikers in the First Division," Walker told the club's official website.
"It's nice to know that the club have kept faith in me by offering me a new contract.
"I didn't hesitate in signing a new contract.
Crewe is the club I want to be playing for
"I enjoy working with Dario Gradi and the staff and Crewe is the club I want to be playing for."
Walker follows Stephen Foster and Steve Jones in signing a new three-year deal with Crewe.
Walker is looking forward to establishing a strong defensive partnership with Foster, especially now that Dave Walton has made the switch to Derby.
"I enjoy playing alongside Stephen Foster," said Walker.
"We have played alongside each other since the youth team and, hopefully, we will develop our partnership over the next three years."
