Ravanelli expects changes
Ravanelli has never met his new boss
Derby striker Fabrizio Ravanelli believes new manager John Gregroy will be quick to assert himself at Pride Park.
Gregory joined the Rams on Wednesday less than a week after walking out on Aston Villa. The Italian international said he expected Gregory would enter the transfer market in an attempt to boost Derby's survival chances. "He will have to evaluate the situation and see if he can bring in reinforcements for the team," said the 33-year-old Ravanelli. The club is second bottom in the Premiership and the new boss has been promised funds to bring in new players. Ravanelli, the Derby captain, has not met the new boss but believes Gregory will be given every chance to succeed at Pride Park. "I have never met him, but everyone speaks well of him," said the former Lazio, Juventus and Middlesbrough striker. "He seems a nice person and a good manager. Here he can work in peace."
