Darlington boss Dave Penney has been reunited with Gregg Blundell after completing a late deadline deal for the Chester striker.
Blundell played at Doncaster under Penney, who signed him from Northwich Victoria for £25,000.
The 31-year-old striker played a key role with 20 goals as Doncaster clinched a second successive promotion under Penney.
Chester paid a six-figure sum for Blundell in the summer of 2005.
