Armstrong had attracted plenty of interest from other clubs

Darlington have completed the signing of former Ipswich striker Alun Armstrong, who had also been a target for Walsall and Rotherham.
The 29-year-old has agreed a deal with the Quakers until Christmas.
Boss David Hodgson said: "Alun has a great opportunity to get his career up and running again with us. It's a great move for everybody concerned.
"But we have to accept that if somebody comes in, Alun will have the option to move on," he told the Evening Gazette.
Armstrong had been a free agent after being released by Ipswich in the summer.
Hodgson had feared that he could miss out on the former Middlesbrough man, after news of his initial interest leaked out.
