Strevens scored his ninth goal of the season against Leicester
Striker Ben Strevens says Dagenham & Redbridge can be proud of their FA Cup performance against Leicester.
The Daggers lost 3-2 to the League One leaders in Saturday's second round tie, having twice taken the lead.
But Strevens, who netted the Daggers' second goal, told BBC Essex: "We can be really proud of the way we played.
"They're a good side and are not top of League One for no reason. We put in a good performance and I think we had more chances to win the game."
The League Two side were ultimately undone by a Matt Fryatt hat-trick at the Walkers Stadium, but Streven's goal in the 25th minute had given the Daggers a 2-1 lead, and he felt they were just as deserving of the win.
"With the greatest of respect I don't think many teams, in their league or ours, would have come and put in a better performance than us," he said.
"Obviously the result went against us, but we can take a lot from this and hopefully take it into the league."
