Crystal Palace have signed Greece midfielder Vassilios Lakis.
Lakis was part of Greece's triumphant Euro 2004 team
The 28-year-old international has joined Palace as a free agent on a one-year deal having previously played for AEK Athens.
"We are delighted to sign a player of Vassilios' quality," Palace manager Iain Dowie told the club's website.
"Subject to international clearance Lakis will go straight into the squad for Monday's game against Fulham," added Dowie.
Lakis was a member of his country's victorious Euro 2004 squad, making two
substitute appearances at the finals in Portugal.
The midfielder scored 37 goals in 149 appearances for AEK Athens.
