Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Ecuador striker Ivan Kaviedes from Barcelona de Guayaquil for a fee of around £2m.
Premiership new boys Palace have snapped up the 26-year-old after a successful trial spell.
"He is an icon in Ecuadorian football and an outstanding footballer. He's come on trial and shown good motivation in training," said boss Iain Dowie.
"He's a breath of fresh air, a great finisher and a free-kick specialist."
The much-travelled forward has also played for Perugia, Celta Vigo, Valladolid, and Mexican side Puebla.
