No enquiries for unsettled strikers - Crewe Alex boss

Byron Moore
Moore would be welcome if he returned, according to Gradi

Crewe Alexandra have yet to receive any enquiries for their strikers Clayton Donaldson or Byron Moore, according to manager Dario Gradi.

Both Donaldson, 27, and Moore, 23, have been offered new deals by the club but are yet to agree to them.

Donaldson is a free agent but Moore is under 24 and would therefore command a compensation fee if he were to move.

"I am not surprised that there has been no real interest in them," Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke.

"What it does indicate to me that perhaps they haven't had the offers they thought they would get."

Donaldson, who was the League Two top scorer last season with 29 goals and Crewe's player of the year, was offered a two-year incentive-linked deal.

Moore, who has progressed through the club's academy, had a new two-year contract offered to him in November 2010.

"Byron is entitled to have a look around and if he can do better then good luck to him," Gradi continued.

"If he can't then he is welcome to come back here and prove that he can do better.

"His attitude has always been fine and we would have no problem whatsoever with him coming back here."
