Crewe boss Dario Gradi delighted with facilities

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has praised the club's facilities which have helped his players train despite heavy snowfall.

The covers have been down on the Alexandra Stadium pitch all week but the players are able to use the all-weather surface or the training dome.

"Of course, the weather is not ideal for the preparation but we are lucky here," Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke.

"We are better off than most and I would be surprised if anyone in League Two enjoyed the facilities we do."

He added: "We are lucky here. Our players always have somewhere to train.

"I remember last season when talking to other managers that they would go into the gym because there was no where for them to train.

"I have been in that situation in the past, at bigger clubs too, when you open the curtains and think what I am going to do today.

"I don't worry about that here now and we can carry on training. They are getting the snow off of the artificial surface and even if I consider that to still be dangerous then we will go into the dome and play some quick tempo football," added Gradi.

Crewe's home game with Wycombe on Saturday is subject to a Friday pitch inspection.
