Verma makes early exit from Crewe

Crewe Alexandra

Midfielder Aman Verma has returned to Leicester after his loan spell at Crewe Alexandra was ended two weeks early.

The 21-year-old joined Crewe on a three-month deal in August but has failed to establish himself in the first team under manager Dario Gradi.

"Aman has returned to Leicester to train with them. He's gone back early as it's easier for him to train there," Gradi told the the club's website.

"He told me he enjoyed it and he got some league games under his belt."

The midfielder made nine appearances for Crewe under former manager Gudjon Thordarson but fell out of favour when Gradi began his third spell of charge of the Alex.

Gradi added: "He has been absolutely fine and I apologised to him for not helping him much since I've been in charge.

"I don't think he went with any bad feeling so that is good and we wish him well."

Verma has returned to Leicester for training but will be unavailable to play any games for the Foxes until his loan contract officially comes to an end on 10 November.
