Jones backing Crewe to improve

Jones captained Crewe in the 3-0 defeat at Scunthorpe

Crewe Alexandra full-back Billy Jones is backing his team-mates to turn the team's fortunes around.

Steve Holland's Alex are currently second from bottom in League One and have managed just two league wins from 10 games this season.

Jones told BBC Radio Stoke: "We have a good belief in the squad. People may not think that because of the position we are in but I feel we'll be alright."

Crewe's latest defeat was a 3-0 reverse at Scunthorpe on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Julian Baudet, Dennis Lawrence and Michael O'Connor should all return for their next game - at home to MK Dons.
