Brian Welsh said his side deserved their cup win

Cowdenbeath boss Brian Welsh hailed his side's battling performance after they beat Brechin 1-0 win in their third round Scottish Cup replay.

"I'm delighted as it is 14 years since we were last in the fourth round of the cup," he said.

"We were determined to win as we felt robbed when Brechin scored a stoppage-time equaliser in the first tie," Welsh added.

"I thought we created a lot of chances in the game."
