Cowden earmark Levein's successor
![]() Craig Levein's chairman new he would leave
Cowdenbeath were well prepared for the loss of Craig Levein to Hearts and will appoint a new manager within 48 hours.
It seems that chairman Gordon McDougall already knows the man he wants. "Craig has been a wonderful manager for us and we wish him well," he said. "But we knew that he was so good that we would lose him sooner or later and, because of that, we have for some time been considering who would follow him. Not advertising "We know our target and, hopefully, we will have an agreement quickly. "We will not be advertising the position." Levein's assistant, Gary Kirk, whose father was Hearts star Bobby Kirk, will be in charge for Saturday's visit to Montrose. It appears that he will also continue to play an important role at the club.
