Coventry City have completed the signing of Carl Baker from League One's bottom club Stockport County for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder, 27, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Sky Blues and, subject to clearance, will be in the squad to face Barnsley on Saturday.
Baker weighed in with 13 goals in 24 appearances for Stockport this season.
City manager Chris Coleman said: "We have been looking at him for some time and others have been tracking him."
Baker is Coventry's fourth signing in the January transfer window after the Richard Wood and Chris Hussey loan deals were made permanent and Gary Deegan arrived from Irish champions Bohemians.
