McGhee joins Sky Blues
Mark McGhee: Friend of Gordon Strachan from their Aberdeen days
Former Reading, Leicester and Wolves manager Mark McGhee has returned to football as a scout for Coventry City.

McGhee, who was sacked by Wolves in November 1998, played alongside Coventry manager Gordon Strachan at Aberdeen and the pair are good friends.

McGhee's new job will include checking out Coventry's future opponents and talent spotting in the south of England.

The former Scottish international said: "This is a different role to the one I have done in the past.

"But I am very excited by it and want to help Coventry any way I can."
