Coventry City have agreed a three-year deal to sign teenage Iceland international Aron Einar Gunnarsson from AZ Alkmaar for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Sky Blues and will become Chris Coleman's second close-season signing.
Guillaume Beuzelin joined the club from Hibernian earlier this month.
Gunnarsson has only made one start for his Dutch club but has already won three caps for his country.
City boss Chris Coleman told the club website: "We were not the only club interested in him and he has got lots of quality.
"He's already proven that he is capable of playing on the biggest stage. I have no doubt he has got the ability to be an important player for us next season."
