Coventry reveal Ricoh Arena plan
Coventry City
Coventry City's new chairman Ray Ranson plans to return 50% of the Sky Blues' stadium ownership to the club.

Ranson's group Sisu Capital took over the Championship club on Friday and saved it from administration.

Coventry's Ricoh Arena was jointly funded by the council and a charity called the Alan Higgs Trust and is run by Arena Coventry Limited (ACL).

"We've negotiated an option to acquire 50% of the Ricoh Arena," Ranson BBC Radio 5 Live's Sportsweek.

"It's a leisure business with a casino, club and hotel - and it's a very exciting package."

Coventry had a debt of around £40million before the takeover, and Ranson added: "I can imagine people looking at the books, but we looked at them slightly differently - and now the club has a fantastic future going forward."
