Coventry boss Micky Adams has sealed the £1m signing of central defender Elliott Ward from West Ham.
Ward is the brother of Crystal Palace defender Darren Ward
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal and follows David McNamee, Wayne Andrews, Don Hutchison and Mikkel Bischoff to the Ricoh Arena.
"In Elliott we have a young, talented and confident defender who I'm sure will bring a real presence to our back line," said Adams.
"He is just the sort of player we are looking for to help the club progress."
Ward, a youth academy graduate, made 18 appearances for the Hammers.
During the 2004-05 campaign he was loaned out to Peterborough and Bristol Rovers, and last season spent three months at Plymouth.
