Coventry's new keeper coach
Coventry have appointed former England international Alan Hodgkinson as their new
goalkeeping coach.
Hodgkinson, capped five times by England and part of the 1958 and 1962 World Cup squad, made more than 675 appearances for Sheffield United before embarking on a coaching career which included a stint with Scotland. Sky Blues player-manager Gary McAllister said: "Alan has a wealth of experience as a coach at the highest level. "As a player, he was also highly successful at club and international level and the combination of these qualities will undoubtedly help all the goalkeepers we have at Highfield Road." Hodgkinson takes over from Steve Ogrizovic, who has become Coventry's new Academy director. Meanwhile, Coventry's eagerly-awaited Midlands derby with Leicester has been brought forward a day to Tuesday 29 October.
